Community Development

Community is defined from Latin word “communis” which means ‘common’, ‘public’ shared by many. The word “com” means together and the word “munis” means performing services. Community development is a process based on the sharing of power, skills, knowledge and experience. It should involve all members of within the society. Community development is the empowering the social groups. It helps to achieve quality life of rural people. It will increase the personal and institutional capacity of rural community. Community development is all about the involvement of people in different issues which after their lines. Community development helps in the participation in development and empowerment of marginalized people.
