Himalayas
are the storehouse of fresh water that is feeding into the rivers. Himalayan
verdure includes forests, shrubs and grasslands which is striking in the
diversity of flora and fauna. For centuries, the forests of the Himalaya have
been crucial source of food, fuel, fodder and medicines for the local
population. The woods are the one of the world’s single largest stocks of
biodiversity. There is an immense variety of plants of medicinal value. The
biodiversity of the Himalaya is substantial and unique. These rivers are the
main waterways of the subcontinent. Crops can be safely sown once a water is
plenty.
